WHAT IS FRY OUT CANCER?

Fry Out Cancer is an annual fundraiser to support The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). Since 2014, Fry Out Cancer has raised more than $220,000 for cancer-related charities, including OSUCCC – James and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

By making a donation to The James, donors can reserve a fried turkey for their Thanksgiving meal or sponsor a turkey that will be sent to a family in need.

Minimum suggestion donations:

  • Fried Turkey - $150
  • Pie (Apple or Pumpkin) - $25
  • Pint of Gravy - $10
  • Roasted Turkey for A Family In Need - $50

All proceeds will continue to benefit the Proton Therapy Fund and the Ovarian Cancer Research and Education Fund in Gynecology at OSUCCC – James.

In 2024, Fry Out Cancer will be sending roasted turkeys to the following organizations that feed families in need on Thanksgiving: iResolve Family Fitness, the YWCA Family Center, Community Shelter Board, New Albany Food Pantry, Hilltop Community Worship Center, Catholic Social Services, The Food Soldier, Star House, LSS Choices, Kaleidoscope Youth Center, Community Development for All People, Ronald McDonald House, and Faith Mission.
