Fry Out Cancer is an opportunity to support The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). Since 2014, Fry Out Cancer has raised more than $30,000 for cancer-related charities, including OSUCCC – James and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Supporters place their order for a fully prepared fried turkey and select a time to pick it up on Thanksgiving Day at the Columbus Culinary Institute.
In 2018, all proceeds will continue to benefit the Pediatric Brain Cancer Research Fund and the Ovarian Cancer Research and Education Fund in Gynecology at OSUCCC – James.
The suggested minimum donation for each turkey is $136.
Donors are also encouraged to sponsor a turkey that will go to a family in need. In 2018, Fry Out Cancer will provide turkeys to Thanksgiving meals at iResolve Family Fitness, the YWCA Family Center, Community Shelter Board, Harmony Project, New Albany Food Pantry and Faith Mission.
Turkeys are sourced from Ohio-based Blue Ribbon Meats. Blue Ribbon Meat’s turkeys are fresh, 100% natural, and free range, with no growth hormones or antibiotics.
